Jack Doherty
Jack Doherty brings more than a résumé to As In Life Pictures; he brings a lived understanding of the rhythms and demands of on-set life, shaped through years working as an actor, assistant director, producer, director, transport driver and transport captain. This breadth of experience gives him a holistic grasp of filmmaking — from performance and story through to the logistical and organisational foundations that hold a production together.

Before entering the film world, Jack worked in IT and HR across government and the private sector. This period refined his analytical mindset and his ability to quickly interpret complex systems and communicate them clearly — skills that now underpin his approach to producing our first feature film, Isa.

Jack’s intuitive sensitivity and passion for supporting others integrates naturally with his ability to design structure and manage the practical realities of production. Known for his calm presence and deep listening, he is often the quiet problem-solver in the background, offering steady support to our collaborative team.

At the core of Jack’s work is a commitment to personal inquiry and to exploring the evolution of modern masculinity. Through his coaching practice, Way of Being, he mentors actors and young men in embodiment, emotional resilience and authenticity. Whether refining a budget or guiding peers through digital complexity, Jack creates environments where creative expression can flourish within strong, conscious structure.

He is deeply honoured to help bring Isa to life.
