2027. Hidden deep in the desert, the female-led sanctuary of Salus rises like a mirage — a utopian community founded by Charmaine, the visionary leader who, back in 2016, sparked a global uprising against tyrannical male oppression. The 300 people of Salus struggle with murmurs of discontent, disillusionment, and dwindling resources. Into this fragile order comes Isa, a mysterious woman found lost in the desert with no memory of her past. Isa's purity of heart, freedom of expression, and uninhibited sexuality begins to liberate those in Salus shackled by fear and shame. The Salus' leaders see in Isa an opportunity to distract the population from their woes, and deify her as a symbol of hope and change — until she falls wildly in love with Orion, a man haunted by tragedy. Their forbidden connection exposes deep cracks in the society. Charmaine, in her desperation to maintain safety through control, exiles Orion to the barren desert, imprisons Isa, and places the community into lockdown.
